In a small community, it is much easier to know more people and know them more deeply. It lends itself to experiences that would not be available if there weren't so many familiar faces. A negative aspect is that small communities tend to have more politics- rumors spread more quickly and there are consequences to everyone always being in the know about everything around them. I feel very connected to Goucher's issues, but I don't know nearly as much as I'd like about global issues because of Goucher's limited access to the world outside the bubble.
