Familiarity with the area

As a freshman, I feel trapped within the bubble. I am not familiar with the area and don't get out much because I don't know where places are. The places I do know and go out to become boring after awhile because it feels like the same thing all the time. I feel as time goes on and my years here accumulate I will get out more. Next year, my friend will have her car on campus, which will make it easier to go places and explore. I think that people need to take it upon themselves to "break free" from the bubble. Goucher isn't stopping you or babysitting you, you have all these opportunities to get out, so do it!
